I bought the first Promethea collection as a gift for a friend, and it (and finally organizing several boxes of old comics) prompted me to give the series another read. Wow! I remembered the main "up through the Sephiroth" storyline pretty well, but I had forgotten how many other balls Moore was juggling in that series, and how seamlessly it all fit together. Reading it all in a short span is a very different experience from getting one issue a month. Should finish it up tonight, and then, for a change of pace, I'm thinking "Tomorrow Stories".

Re: Re-reading Promethea
Thu, June 25, 2009 - 12:29 PMI've been meaning to rereaed the series for awhile - it'd take some effort to gather all the issues from whereever I stored them, though.
It was an amazing series, many layered . I thikn the Painted Doll subplot was my fave.
God, it was ten years ago that issue one came out, wasn't it? Great Chkulle'tah! -

Re: Re-reading Promethea
Fri, July 17, 2009 - 11:12 AMI have the collected books... two sets
One for me and one to loan out.
I've re - read it twice and will do so again sometime before the end of the year.
It is an initiation itself ... a continuous beginning and opening to experience.
Everyone should read and re - read.
